For our final reflection, I decided to write about Poetry and my beat poet, Anne Waldman. In writing, especially in poetry, you can take it anywhere, it could mean anything. I think poetry in general is pretty cool, there is specific set of rules in literature, everyone interprets things differently. Anne Waldman's poetry "frees the soul", she writes about real world problems, problems that could actually make a difference. Her writing is so unique in that the style and tone is just so concrete. Poetry is different for every individual, there is no right or wrong answer to it. Writing is pretty much open to anything, it "frees the soul", it could be positive or negative, it could spark outrage, just like Waldman. Cristina Domenech's Ted Talk pretty much just gives an in-depth version of what I wrote above about writing and poetry, but better.
I agree with Domenech in that poetry "frees the soul", it gives you an open mind on life and it clearly depicts who you are as an Individual. Writing defines your likes, dislikes, and your personality it reflects you and what you believe in.
